WHAT DOES SUCCESS TRULY MEAN?

Every day, the word “SUCCESS” is being paraded like no man's business and people are chasing this success like never before.

Before I proceed, do you know what success means? Or you are just pursuing the society definition of success?

Well, success differs with people and today, I really want to hear your definition of what success means to you, so maybe I'll understand the reasons behind people's action and reaction.

These days, I see people getting worked up about people's success story, and they feel so bad and perturbed.

It can be very hard to celebrate with others when it feels like your life doesn't look like it, or you're so far from that reality.

I can consider this feeling normal but if it grows to envy and strife then there's something wrong somewhere.

One of the questions I ask people is “what's the definition of success to them?”

Is it the bag, cars, clothes, shoes, houses that seem to be achievement to you?

Personally, I feel there's more to success than just material things. Hey, material things are important o. In fact, it cannot be overemphasized. Your body needs them to thrive in this kingdom, but I feel that the understanding of what success is will shape the way you celebrate others.

Sure, success to you can mean those material things, but is there not more to success than material things?

Success to me is beyond material things, success to me is being true to myself, being true to humanity, being honest, responsible. It’s more than my bank account, it’s the state of my heart, how I affect people and the legacy my life teaches. Success is more than just money. (Somebody defined this and it fits what I want to explain.)
