NIGERIA AT 64!

Dear Nigeria,

At 64, you stand tall, weathered by time, yet unbroken. As I reflect on your journey, it is impossible to ignore the harshness of the times. As a young lady, full of dreams and ambition, the weight of the economy bears heavily on my shoulders.

I’ve watched the rise and fall of hopes, with promises made and sometimes broken, yet here I am, still pushing forward, because resilience is woven into my very identity.

You are my home, Nigeria, but sometimes it feels like I am fighting to survive rather than thrive. The cost of living has risen, opportunities are scarce, and many of us must navigate challenges that seem insurmountable.

But in the face of these struggles, I also see the potential, potential that lies within the hands of young women like myself. I’ve learned to innovate, to hustle, to create pathways where none exist, and to build my future despite the odds.

As you turn 64, I hope for a Nigeria where the strength and potential of every citizen are recognized, where the dreams of the youth are nurtured, not stifled. We are not just surviving; we are striving to make this country better, to make our mark, to contribute to the Nigeria of our dreams.

Nigeria, you’ve come a long way, but you still have so much further to go. I stand with you, as do millions of others, not just because we have no other choice, but because we believe in your future.
