A TRIBUTE TO MISS SUSAN

I started a new school year at a private school in Lagos after leaving a public school. I met Miss Susan, who also happens to be my English teacher, at my new school. Miss Susan was my lighthouse; I doubt I will ever be able to let her go. I always think of her, even though I don’t know where she is.

To Miss Susan, My Guiding Light
In a classroom bright, where dreams took flight,
You sparked a flame with your gentle light.
With every lesson, you opened the door,
To worlds of wonder, and so much more.

Through words and stories, you helped me grow.
Nurtured my spirit; let my voice flow.
In laughter and challenges, you stood by my side,
A beacon of hope, my unwavering guide.

On this special day, I just want to say,
Thank you, dear teacher, in every way.
For believing in me, for helping me soar,
Miss Susan, you’ve opened my heart’s every door.

To every good teacher out there, your influence will never fade away.
