A Choice: Living Every Moment!

Life is sweet, walahi. This is my own personal truth and I’ll run with it everyday. Life has so much to offer me and I’m embracing all of it with my full chest.

I live in a world that has done so well in pulling me in different directions, through endless responsibilities, school, work and even relationships.

It looks easy for me to lose sight of what I really want for myself. In summary, it just comes down to a simple fact: I just want to be happy and live every moment. It's not about chasing so much and waiting for a bright future as envisaged, but finding so much joy and happiness here and now.

I have come to realize that happiness is not something I should strive for in my own distant future, but it's about appreciating the small moments, whether good or bad.

I spend so much time worrying about what's next; where the next bill will come from, my next relationship issue, my next school palava and I'm forgetting to appreciate all the beautiful things I'm blessed with at the moment.

Today and every other day, I decide to be present in my every moment, letting go of regrets from the past and fears about my future. I’m making a conscious decision to focus on what makes me feel alive.

I know that life will not always be perfect and challenges will always come, but then, I'll embrace those moments and see them as part of my journey.

Ultimately, I just want to live my life and every moment with so much intention. To enjoy everything that life has to offer and create happiness from within.

To me, that’s all that matters.
